CBN + LARA MILLER

What better way to jumpstart JUNCTURE than with a look at a FABULOUS event, filled with fashion, food, and fellow bloggers! Last night Bloggers from the Chicago Blogger Network were invited to style and model Lara Miller's upcoming collection for her Fall 2012 lookbook, and we have the recap of the stylish evening.

Lara Miller is an earth friendly Chicago designer who hand-looms each garment one at time (a process that takes 4 to 8 hours). She also uses organic and recycled cotton, bamboo, linen, hemp, and vegan silk in her items. What we love about these garments is that they can be worn so many different ways: wrapped, layered, reveresed, and our favorite, flipped. The versatility and chic comfort of these pieces fit any style. Check out this Eva Flip Dress!

Upon our arrival we headed straight for the the racks to play dress-up! Jess wore the comfiest long sleeve Addison Cardigan paired with the Flora Flower Headband. Jill opted for the Lucy Cowl Flip (worn at least three different ways by the end of the night) with the Thome Necklace. And yes, we purposely matched! Then it was off to hair and makeup, courtesy of Anthony Balthazar & Laura Pederson, who along with the rest of the artists, primped each look into perfection. Jess is in love with her teased curls and is still rocking it! Next it was off to a photoshoot by photographer Bret Grafton, who was so much fun to work with. Who knew we had it in us?

We had a fantastic time last night meeting such beautiful bloggers, and a huge thank you to CBN and Lara Miller! Can we do this every week?
