MY BEST FRIEND'S WEDDING: THE BACHELORETTE PARTY

Last year I made a post on a DIY Bridal Basket I created when my best friend, Christina, got engaged. Fast forward to 2013, and I am beyond thrilled to be exercising my maid of honor duties. First order of business? Bachelorette party, duh!

The invite.

We celebrated where the couple first sparked a love relationship, and where we spent our college years, in Orlando, FL. I put together cute gift bags for all the girls, decorated with cut-out letters on each bag with their names. Inside included glow sticks, light up rings, Pedialyte (the best hangover cure, thanks Kit!), these adorable aroma therapy packs from The Sleepy Poppy Shop, and more. Christina's bag also had fun bridal gear. What would a bachelorette party be without decking out the bride in a hot pink veil, pimp cup, and button?

Goodie bags.

I also created a fun game for all the girls to play together. Each girl was given a number and in numerical order, we'd take turns completing the dares on each page. Some of the dares included making a drink behind the bar, updating a stranger's Facebook status, initialing your name on a stranger's scar, and many more. Once it's completed, the girl who accomplished the dare signed her name on the back of the page, and the stranger who she interacted with would write a piece of marriage advice for Christina. Not only is it a great way for all the girls to get to know each other, it's much more personal than a game you pick up at the store, and it also works as a keepsake for the bride. And the marriage advice is pretty funny when you read it the next morning.

The first few pages were laminated, and the book was bound together.

While the bride was distracted downstairs, one of the bridesmaids and I quickly decorated the room. The bride's sister-in-law couldn't attend so she sent up the cutest gift, "The Panty Poem", along with different pairs of underwear to go along with it. It was the perfect touch to the weekend!

And here's some fun from the weekend captured via Instagram!

Just a few pictures of the night!

From limo's to dancing to some really funny dares, it was such a fun weekend with a great group of girls. And as a DIY addict, I'm thinking maid of honor is the perfect job for me ;).

Have you ever planned a bachelorette party?

x Jill
