Yesterday I went to the grand opening of Plum Market in Old Town. I love any grocery store that focuses on local, organic, and healthy food, and this one is the mecca. That's why I've put together 10 reasons why I love - like, really love - the new store (not including the cheese section, and the tasty sandwiches, and the fact that they have my favorite vegan creamer, and the vitamins...)

1. I secretly want to name a future daughter "Plum".

2. Meals that I could never make but I can pass off as mine.

3. They make an Italian's dream come true with just this.

4. No explanation needed.

5. Their bakery makes dreams come true.

6. When I feel overwhelmed by shopping, I can just hit up the wine bar.

7. They sell my favorite nail polish...

8. ... and Jess's too.

9. Their flower department can dress up any home.

10. And it makes Valentines day easy for my boyfriend (hopefully he reads this).

You'll want to check out the new Plum Market at 1233 North Wells. I promise, you'll find 100,000 more reasons to love it!

Last week, I spent a gorgeous summer day at the Chicago Botanic Garden with my family and boyfriend. I can't believe how gorgeous the grounds were and how pristine everything was kept (this coming from a girl who fell in love with the Brooklyn Botanic Garden on her kindergarten field trip).

I can't recommend this place enough. Two years ago when I went on my University of Chicago interview, my professor told me I must take my family there, and I wish I hadn't waited so long. You could easily get lost there, and trust me, you'll want to.

I wore a Theory top, BDG jeans, Aldo combat boots, Kate Spade purse, and Ray-Ban sunglasses. Thanks to my brother, Adam, for snapping these photos!

The best part about the whole day? The Butterfly Garden. Luckily the sun was out, and so were the butterflies, and they were so friendly.

Clearly they are showoffs (and rightfully so).

To celebrate the season, we headed over to the Vertigo Sky Lounge for the #FabFashionNetwork #SummerSolstice party hosted by JustFab and the lovely Lisa of Stilettos and Diaper Bags! There were drinks, raffles, giveaways, gift cards, coupons, and swag bags filled with JustFab goodies, and was one of many events happening at the same time across the US (but we're assuming Chicago's was the best, of course).

With Lisa and Kaitlyn of Sisters Marie!

Jess wore a Marciano 'Beth' high-low tee (pretty much a dress for my short self), Forever 21 leggings, Aldo wedges and clutch, and assorted jewelry.

Necklace c/o Capwell & Co.

Bracelets c/o Capwell & Co., rings (left tor right) from Love & Pieces, Nordstrom (Rachel double heart), Kate Spade, vintage, 2020AVE ('Octagon' and 'Nailed It'), and a GUESS chronograph watch.
Also wearing Deborah Lippmann's Stormy Weather (available at Nordstrom).

Jill wore a French Connection top, Forever 21 shorts, and Donald J. Pliner heels.

Jess won this awesome clutch from JustFab and it's perfect for this dress. Sensing a 'rocked it & swapped it' post!

Thank you again to Lisa for inviting us to this fun night out!

How did everyone spend their first day of summer?

Icing opened its flagship store in Chicago on State Street last week and we were invited to see the new shop! They've recently unveiled a new branding program with a new logo, store designs, visual identity, and their first ever online store. I haven't been to an Icing in quite a while, so when we were invited to the opening and learned about the revamp, I couldn't wait! What girl wouldn't love this jewelry mecca?

I wore a H&M blouse, GAP camo skimmers, Aldo wedges, and assorted jewelry. I also tried out BECCA Beach Tint in Papaya. What does everyone think?

With Rachel of Chicago Chic!

I headed upstairs (a cool space for future special events) for music, cupcakes, photos (of course), a sneak peek of this upcoming fall's product, and the ribbon cutting!

CEO, Jim Fielding, and SVP, Joel Herman cutting the ribbon!

Can't wait to see what more Icing has in store!

After Jill's graduation this past Saturday, we headed over to one of our favorite restaurants, Nellcôte, for some celebrating! Relive the night over with us by taking a look at some of the photos we snapped.

Now if we can only find a way to relive that dessert right about now...

Enjoying the view.

Everyone taking a photo at the same exact time.

Jess wore a Marciano dress (seen before here) and clutch, Aldo heels, and jewelry from GUESS, Nordstrom, and Love & Pieces.

Jill wore a 3.1 Phillip Lim top (worn earlier that day here), Romeo & Juliet leggings, Stuart Weitzman wedges, and vintage jewelry.

Being silly with Banksy behind us.

Jess's outfit for the night.

Jess's details.
Ring finger: Love & Pieces. Middle finger: Bonnie Jonas at Nordstrom. Index finger: Vintage.

Jill's favorite jewelry piece.
Her great-grandfather's diamond tiepin turned into a ring.

His and hers.
