I look at all these talented self-taught makeup artists with their fancy top liner and I think to myself, "I can totes do that."

Yeah, right. Liquid eyeliner, gel liner - I just couldn't get the hang of it.

Until I met NYX matte brown and black liners (there's glossy ones too), that is! They're fool-proof and rub-proof (anything on my lash line or eyelid always ends up on my brow bone). For an everyday look, I reach for the brown first - even when I'm wearing almost all black, it sometimes look too harsh with my brown eyes and hair. If chic is the word of the day, then it's all black everything. They last all day and night, never need sharpening, and rich in color - I seriously have no complaints about these liners! And at only six bucks a pop and available pretty much everywhere - you'd be silly to not pick it up.

If you're feeling saucy, you can also get them in a variety of bright colors.

It's the type of craze we can get behind.

As the weather warms up, so have the hues in our wardrobe. Coral is one of those colors that instantly brightens up any outfit, and looks good on both pale and dark skin. Also, doesn't it make you just a bit more happier? Who can say no to this color?

What color are you currently loving?

We would totally be way cooler with Mondays if they were all like today.

Whether you're taking advantage of the many sales happening, hanging out by a body of water, or just spending the time at home, we hope your day is just as sunny and bright as our photo. And don't forget to remember what this day is all about, those men and women who have died fighting for our country.

Happy Memorial Day!

How are you spending the holiday?

I have two confessions to make.

First, I love to steal my fiancé's socks, and he absolutely hates it. You know how they have those couple games and they ask each spouse separately what irritates them the most? We would totally get that question right, because it drives him crazy. Second, I love men's socks, specifically those made by a Kardashian. Arthur George socks are super cute, witty, and super comfy. And I was excited to see their Women's socks are just as good. Who knows, maybe my fiancé will start stealing my socks now?

For Her - Half of Heart ($15.00)

For Her - Sole Mate ($15.00)

For Her - Sweetheart Ruffle ($18.00)

For Her - Italiano ($15.00)

Happy Friday!

With most of the wedding planning done (and with 10 months left - go me!), I've been able to focus on the fun part... the honeymoon! I absolutely love to travel, so this decision is bigger than any wedding choice I'll have to make.

My fiancé and I have finally figured out what we wanted out of a honeymoon - a way to see the beautiful outdoors, take in culture, luxurious accommodations, and travel ease to make the most of our time off. We never thought of Hawaii since we thought of eliminating islands since beaches aren't our thing, but we've heard such amazing things (including from my own parents). Deciding on islands and what to do on which one has been overwhelming, but these guidebooks from Hawaii Revealed have been so helpful - I can't wait to explore!

Before we said yes to our destination spot, we looked at places all over the globe. See my favorite places below - perfect for a honeymoon, anniversary trip, babymoon, or a family outing.

Kauai, Hawaii

Tulum, Mexico

Dubrovnik, Croatia

New Zealand

Costa Rica

Dubai, UAE

Paris, France

Where did or do you want to go for your honeymoon?

As my wedding date starts to creep up more and more, I've been referring back to my checklist of things I should be doing. One thing that completely slipped my mind was our wedding bands... which are a pretty important aspect, huh? Since I'll be wearing this ring for the rest of my life, I've been putting a lot of thought into what I could see myself wearing every day. My engagement ring setting sits high, and I've always loved the look of a classic band, so I've been on the hunt for something simple and timeless. Here are some that have made the running!

I go through phases with denim - I love a brand for a few months and then I move on to the next. One that has definitely been sticking around for the long run is BDG Jeans from Urban Outfitters. They're inexpensive, the sizes are on point (especially for petites like myself, but they also have tall lengths), and come in a variety of fits and washes. And when I say inexpensive, I mean it! Jeans start at $64, but you can always find your favs on promotion for $39. I picked up a few high-waisted skinnys and I am in love. See my other must-haves below.

BDG Twig Super High-Rise Jean - Black Ink ($39.00 - On Sale!)

BDG Slim Boyfriend Jean - Slash ($79.00)

BDG Twig Mid-Rise Jean - Indigo Sunset ($69.00)

BDG Twig Mid-Rise Jean - Jerry ($64.00)

BDG Slim-Fit Boyfriend Jean - White Wash ($39.99)

BDG Slim-Fit Boyfriend Jean - Billy Blue ($39 - On Sale!)

BDG Twig Grazer High-Rise Jean - Whitewash ($39 - On Sale!)

BDG Twig Super High-Rise Jean - Carley ($39.00 - On Sale!)

What are your favorite pair of jeans?

When it comes to jewelry, I always stick to everyday pieces. I occasionally throw on some layering necklaces and a few extra bracelets, but you'll always seeing my wearing my dainty essentials. I'm lazy when it comes to taking them off at night and before showers, so I always stick to sterling silver and 14k gold - mostly rose gold, of course.

I recently got the 'Straight As An Arrow' necklace from Maya Brenner - a meaningful symbol (read about that here) - and I am in love! It's the perfect size and layers well with so many of other fashion jewelry. My Zoe Chicco 'very thin bar earrings' are large enough to notice, but tiny enough to never bother me when I'm sleeping. I don't do well with piercings (a belly button ring in college went terribly wrong), so I fake it with this Catbird 'ear cuff'. 14k gold bracelets can get pricey real quick, so these cord bracelets from Hortense are an easy way out! Last, but definitely not least - my rings. Just as you can layer necklaces (I still can't figure that out), you can layer rings upon rings. My daily rings are my Cartier LOVE engagement ring (duh), Catbird 'mignon memory rings' in sterling silver and rose gold, Bittersweets New York 'teensy skull rings' in gold and rose gold, stud ring from a NYC shopping trip, and a Bittersweets New York 'famous letter ring' with "juizinho", a meaningful Portuguese word.

Getting ready in the morning makes life easier with my staple jewelry pieces!

Do you have any everyday jewelry?

Ever since I moved into my condo, I've been on the hunt for the perfect art to fill up a wall that is in my kitchen and living room. With a huge mirror as the center focus, I've been shopping on Etsy for old and new pieces to add, and using Pinterest for some inspiration. Here are some gallery walls that I'm absolutely loving!

Especially #4, since it's my parent's gallery wall.
