Adding their whimsical touch to every piece, Chapman has translated Marchesa's high-end designs into affordable pieces. And I think I like it! It's definitely one of the better partnerships we've seen (looking at you, Target x Neiman Marcus). Take a peek below.

NELLCÔTE OSCARS PARTY

We watched the 85th Academy Awards in style at the Nellcôte/Chicago Blogger Network Oscars Party! We had a great time catching up with some of our favorite bloggers while enjoying the champagne, food, and of course, the red carpet!

Photo via Nellcôte.

Jess wore a Jason Wu for Target flared dress with Sass & Bide's The Runway Cape that Edith Hart let her show off for the night. Jill wore Keepsake's Jane Dress from Edith Hart as well and vintage jewelry. (Thanks for dressing us, ladies!)

And where there's a photobooth... You can find us!

It's not a blogger event if there's no Instagram action!

1. Jess and Jill. ;D 2. Great crowd!
3. The view from the CBN lounge! 4. Bathroom break!

We also enjoyed the amazing swag, which included gifts from Moet, Uber, Flywheel, Pop Chips, Zico, Exhale Spa, and more!

Where did you celebrate the big night?

WHICH NECKLACE DO YOU CHOOSE?

Dress? Check. Shoes? Check. Necklace? I don't know which one to choose!

This is where you come in! I have a wedding to go to soon and I will be wearing a navy J.Crew dress with Charles David glittery, silver sandals. I've narrowed it down to oh, only six necklace choices, so I need some help in picking a winner. Which one do you choose?

1. Guinevere Resin Statement Necklace ($75.00) - Nordstrom, 2. Givenchy Collar Necklace ($75.00) - Nordstrom, 3. Bib Necklace ($108.00) - Marciano, 4. Bonnie Jonas Mixed Chain Necklace ($38.00), 5. THE Necklace ($48.00) - House of Gemmes, 6. Anne Klein 'Palatine' Frontal Necklace ($38.00) - Nordstrom

JILL'S OSCARS RED CARPET RECAP

A year of watching the biggest films, pre-gaming with other award shows, and trying to predict who will have the next twitter handle named after their red carpet blunder (yes, this exists), it all came to down last night. The big one. The Oscars.

Sure, I could rant about how bitter I am that The Master was snubbed a Cinematography nomination and my boy Leonardo Dicaprio will always be snubbed in general, that's not what you're here for, right? On to the fashion!
Best

Kerry Washington in Miu Miu: Love the color of the dress and the top detail. Kerry balanced out the fun, girly design with simple makeup and sleek hair, keeping it pretty but still mature.

Anne Hathaway in Prada: The structure and color of this gown against her pale skin makes my heart melt. I could have done without the tied back, but that back jewelry makes up for everything, including the soccer mom hair. Do I even need to rave about the makeup?

Nicole Kidman in L'Wren Scott: Nicole sparkled down the carpet and I loved the mix of gold and black. I'm not the biggest fan of the swirl detail at the bottom, but her loose curls and low bun complimented the glitz perfectly.

Jennifer Lawrence in Dior Haute Couture: Yes, it's another strapless gown, but I love that Jennifer brought the drama, while not going too overboard by keeping the pattern and color simple. Plus anybody that adds back jewelry instantly gains fashion brownie points.

Worst

Zoe Saldana in Alexis Mabille: There's just too much going on here. The top is pretty until you hit the out-of-place belt (is that a bow attached?), and then travel down to the busy bottom. If this dress stuck with one feature, things would have looked a lot better.

Kristen Stewart in Reem Acra: If Kristen is a vampire, shampoo MUST be her sunlight, because this girl refuses to wash her hair. I think this gown has potential, but the ill-fitted top and bottom detail have things looking way too messy. More refined styling would be better.

Amanda Seyfried in Alexander McQueen: It's not so much the gown that I have an issue with, but what it looks like on Amanda. Between the color washing her out and the hair aging her, the look just feels so... blah. It makes me want to take a long nap.

Jennifer Aniston in Valentino: The dress isn't bad at all, but if you're going to wear red on the red carpet, PLEASE make it interesting. To make things even more boring, the last time Jennifer had a different hairstyle, Angelina Jolie was making out with her brother. I did dig the jewelry and her happy attitude.

Others

Jessica Chastain in custom Armani Prive: She looked stunning and the dress is beautiful, but I can't help but want more from her. I know she could pull off a more interesting/edgy look. However, this is another step in the right direction after her past tragic choices.

Naomi Watts in Armani Prive: This dress makes me want to call my psychiatrist because I have NO idea how I feel. The scoop back and cap sleeve won me over until I started getting sweet-sixteen vibes from the front cutout... but I don't know if that's a bad thing?

Charlize Theron in Dior: Charlize could wear a plastic bag and I'd still be captivated by her beauty. It's not that her gown wasn't stunning, it's just that I had a little deja vu. Because Anne did it. At the Golden Globes. In Chanel (see here).

Giuliana Rancic in Jean Fares Couture: Giuliana's twist on the classic black dress wasn't what caught my eye, it was her amazing new hairdo sans extensions that had me clapping (yep, I really did). Giuliana is too beautiful, inside and out, to hide behind all that hair. Love the au-natural look!

Stacy Keibler in Naeem Khan: This studded, silver frock was one of my favorites. I loved that Stacy's hair is pulled up to relieve the unique back, but I didn't like the faux bob.

Who were your favorites and not so favorites of the night?

FAVORITO FRIDAY: PAOLO SEBASTIAN

After a recent Pinterest bender, I was on a mission to ID the label of a dress I fell in love with hard, introducing me to Paolo Sebastian. The brains behind the beauty, Australian designer Paul Vasileff, launched his collection in 2007, and ever since I tracked down his name I've been inspired by his whimsical creations. Each of his designs create their own enticing, lovely story that you're dying to get lost in. Between the delicate details and the movement of the material, each piece feels... enchanted.

So jump into the Paolo Sebastian fairytale with some of their gorgeous designs below (Prince Charming not included).

YAY OR NAY? MIRRORED SUNNIES

Ever see your world in someone else's eyes? Well now you can. Literally.

Not too sure if I can get behind the trend of mirrored sunglasses. Although I think they can look rather cheap (even IF that pair of Marni sunglasses instantly caught my eye), with the right outfit/style, some people can pull it off.

LENTIL SOUP RECIPE

I've hinted at this before but I'm going to flat out say it - I'm a horrible cook... and I'm not just saying to be coy. I come from a background of excellent Italian cooks, and the talent just happened to skip me. So I'm on an adventure that is comparable to hiking the Andes (at least for me), finding recipes that are easy yet healthy. Here we go.

This weekend I cooked my mom's lentil soup recipe that I LOVE. It's perfect for cold nights and days when you're not feeling too well- I've completely ditched the sodium filled, store bought soups. It's really tasty and perfect to make in bulk and freeze. Bare with me on my instructions, I'm new at this!

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Olive Oil
- 2 Garlic Cloves
- 16 oz. bag of Red Split Lentils (Can use brown lentils as well - this is what I used)
- 2 Large Organic Carrots
- 2 Large Organic Celery Sticks
- A can of Tomato Sauce
- You can also add onion, and any other vegetables to the mix.

RECIPE:
- Chop up your Carrots, Celery, and Garlic.
- Add 5 tablespoons of Olive Oil in a large pot, and heat it on the stove.
- Add the Garlic in. Stir it until it is soft, but don't let it get brown. Remove it off the stove.
- Fill the pot 3/4's the way with water and add your lentils.
- Put the pot on high until it boils.
- Add your chopped up Carrots, Celery, and can of Tomato Sauce into the pot (This is also when you would add your onion, or any other vegetable you want to use).
- Lower the heat to low/medium and cover the pot.
- Cook for 45 minutes. Add pepper. Enjoy!

Happy Cooking!
