COVER GIRL STYLE: KERRY WASHINGTON

How beautiful does Kerry Washington look on the cover of Vanity Fair's August issue? Not only is she climbing everyone's favorite actress list (hello, Scandal), but she's the first black woman to grace the cover of Vanity Fair in six years. 

Outside of being an always personal favorite on the red carpet, she's an amazing role model for women. And while I don't know if anyone can make a white bathing suit look that good, you'll definitely come close with my white hot bathing suit picks inspired by Kerry's cover!

COVERING THE COVER GIRL STYLE: HAYDEN PANETTIERE

The only thing tragic about seeing Hayden Panettiere on May 2013's cover of Glamour was being reminded of her misspelled Italian tattoo (this is why it's important to spell check before you ink yourselves, people.)

Hayden's looking gorgeous and summer ready, and I love the retro, beachy photos. Even if that scenery has me a little jealous. Okay, a lot jealous. And yellow is absolutely my new color obsession this season.

Emma Stone is one Hollywood It Girl that everyone can get behind, so it's no surprise to see she's gracing magazine covers left and right. How cute is she on Glamour UK's February cover? 

With some serious temperature lows hitting Chicago, it may seem a little too soon to be looking at Spring florals, but it'll (hopefully) be here before we know it. For the sake of my sanity, I'm really hoping for it.

In 2012, I flew out of the state at least once a month, racking up air miles along with magazines. My favorite to pick up in the airport is Vogue, since I can spend at least a good minute drooling over the clothes on every page (plus I don't have to hang my head in shame like I do picking up the latest tabloid). Gwen Stefani's January Vogue cover, shot by Annie Leibovitz, immediately caught my eye, especially her head to toe Saint Laurent look.

However with Katy's recent divorce - and my divorce from staying inside my "little black dress" box - I've come to find a liking for both. It's almost September and that can only mean one thing (and no, not my birthday, but almost just as important)... it's time for September issues! And what better way to celebrate the upcoming month than by sharing some clothing inspired by some of pop culture's top women's magazine covers.
