Move over, "beauty is pain"... It's time to bust out that comfy sweatshirt and dress it up!

I'm all for things comfortable when it comes to my outfits and the weather lately in Chicago has only made it more perfect to layer that sweater and step out the door. Sweatshirts aren't just for your alma mater or trips to the supermarket anymore - from jeweled to printed, leather to graphic, pullovers are the latest trend I can definitely get behind.

JILL'S FAVORITE LITTLE BLACK DRESS

Quantum physics is nothing compared to trying to find the perfect outfit for a night on the town. It can feel practically impossible sometimes. This is why I feel a post dedicated to my little black dress, that has saved me from many nights of wanting to pull my hair out, was appropriate. 

I found this black dress at T.J.Maxx after searching high and low for a dress to celebrate my anniversary with my boyfriend. And it's lasted me many nights, many wine spills, and many accessory changes. I love adding a bold necklace to dress it up, or a pair of flats to keep it low key. What's better that a good find and a good price?

And just like that little black dress everyone has in their closet that they dig out from time to time, I dug up these photos from the summer before a night out. 

I'm also wearing a Boutique 9 shoes, GUESS bracelet, and Marciano clutch.

We celebrated with Cheeky Chicago last week at The Underground for their 5th birthday party!

With a LOFT fashion show styled by the talented adoptedSTYLE, makeup touches from Cate McNabb, drinks from Moët & Chandon and Baileys, and of course a photo booth (which got a ton of action from us), we had a fabulous night! But no night would be complete without celebrating with some of our favorite bloggers!

BRAIDS AND CURLS WITH MARK HILL

Renowned UK celebrity hairstylist Mark Hill and his team stopped by Chicago this past weekend to debut the launch of the Mark Hill Hair Care Collection, exclusively at Walgreens. We headed up to their luxe suite at the Sheraton Hotel, filled with the new collection, and got the chance to test them out and get our hair styled by Mark Hill and his team!

Since we knew our locks were in the best hands, we decided to both go for something out of our league. Jess had her hair done by Jules, and requested a sleek fishtail braid, while Mark Hill gave Jill full, bouncy curls. We both LOVED the transformation and were so excited with the results! Mark Hill and his team are so sweet and talented, and we can't believe that each product costs less than $12!
