DIY GLITTER WINE GLASSES

What to get your girlfriends who have everything? A wine glass, because it's something you can never have enough of.

When it comes to gifts, especially for my friends, I love getting crafty. I knew I wanted to gift my two friends matching wine glasses for all of us, but I also wanted to make them a little special. I stumbled upon this easy DIY from Something Turquoise and I knew I had to get my hands dirty... well, glittery.

I followed the instructions almost exactly, but made a few helpful adjustments along the way.

- I used a sponge (and it worked out great!) since that's what I had lying around.
- If using stickers, be sure to remove the sticker with a needle.
- Remove the sticker while the glitter is still wet, to insure you don't remove any of the glitter.
- Lighter colors will take more coats, so be sure to leave at least 10 minutes between applications.

Here is the end result!

I think the ombre ones are my favorite!

They're also the perfect gift for a new bride, and using her new last name initial (like I did).

CHICAGO STAYCATIONS

With fall here and unfortunately, winter around the corner sooner than we think, it's the best time for staycations! For my birthday this year, I celebrated at the Waldorf Astoria and I absolutely loved it. A staycation is a reason to stay inside if the weather isn't cooperating or it's just too cold, a way to get out of the house, a weekend retreat for just you or to spend some quality time your significant other, and an amazing way to de-stress. If you've never had one, start this year, because you won't regret it at one of the many beautiful hotels here in Chicago!

FAVORITO FRIDAY: MOSCHINO IPHONE CASES

Lately I've been obsessing over Moschino's iPhone cases. The only thing that's stopping me from purchasing one RIGHT NOW is that I'm waiting (impatiently) for my iPhone 6, and these are for the iPhone 5. Hopefully there are plans to make these for the newest Apple phones, so I can snag one - definitely the mirror case - for my new cell.

All cases are available at Nordstrom for $85.

LOFT DECOR INSPIRATION

A year and a half ago, my fiancé and I moved into our loft condo. I've always been drawn to this type of decor - I'm a sucker for exposed brick and piping. But I've learned quickly that without the right furnishings, it can look a little cold. Thankfully, I've found some pretty amazing inspiration to take my loft to the next level!

Soon enough I'll be sharing details of where I live. For now, check out some images that are pulling out my inner Jonathan Adler.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JILL!

Let's wish Jill a very special (and uplifting - she really doesn't want to turn *cough, cough* years-old today) Happy Birthday! Our ages now? Mush, as I like to say.

Cheers to another year of day drinking, Pretty Little Liars, Chipotle, photo shoots, and working together! I love you or whatever. Have a beautiful day today, Jill!

Cheers to another year!

Happy Birthday, Jill!

Unfortunately, I've been catching up on Milan Fashion Week from my couch with a box of tissues and a bottle of echinacea (chic, right?). However, the healing powers of cold medicine has nothing on beautiful clothes. Here are the looks that I loved that walked down the runway!

MISSION POSSIBLE: WEDDING SHOES

When it comes to heels, I suck. If the arch is too high or the heel too skinny, I can't last more than 20 minutes in them. I can't even do pumps! They're horribly awkward because my feet will slide out all night. Since my feet are a hassle to style, it's making wedding shoe shopping almost impossible.

I need a heel with a platform and an arch of 3.25", a wedge or chunky heel, 4 inches or higher (my fiancé is almost a foot taller than me), and a t-strap or ankle strap. No biggie! At least I'm open to color?

Thanks to the good ol' internet, finding a pair of sensible heels for me can actually turn the impossible into the possible. I'm open to a funky pair of shoes for my wedding day - you barely see them, it'll add a pop of color, and hey, I'll actually be able to wear them again! Bring on the statement heels!

HERMÈS SILK SCARVES

Spoiler alert - my fiancé and I have decided on a honeymoon! While we're working out the complete details of the trip, one secret I can let you in on is that a Ferrari and beautiful European scenic roads are involved. My first thought once we made that choice was - duh, I need a scarf! I instantly thought of Hermès and their beautiful, iconic silk pieces. While I have found the one I really want, I couldn't help but fall in love with so many of their designs. It's more than a scarf - it's a collectible, a memory, and a piece of art. Their silk products have their own adorable online shop, and whether you own a Hermès scarf or not - you need to download this app that is all about silk knots and how to wear your silk scarf.

Since it will be my staple accessory for my honeymoon, how perfect is this Monsieur et Madame II scarf? Let's be honest, it's beyond perfect. There hasn't been a better moment for a 'I can't even' that this right here. (And also the fact my fiancé's name is French and he has a mild obsession with Hermès ties.)

FAVORITO FRIDAY: 9 WAYS TO UP YOUR EYEBROW GAME

I've never hid my love of eyebrows, or my love for other Chicago bloggers. So you can imagine how excited I was to read the below article on Refinery29, by one of my girl crushes Ashlee of The Little Foxes. Not only does she have some of the best eyebrows in the game, but she's sharing her secrets - that are all cruelty free, by the way - on one of my favorite websites.

It's as if "pumpkin" is a synonym for "fall".

We know you're just as excited as we are for all things fall, and what would a little talk about the new season be without pumpkin recipes? And with the recent discovery of what's really in a Pumpkin Spice Latte (ew!), we prefer to keep things in our own kitchen. Here are some recipes we can't wait to try!
