#BADTOTHEBERG - JILL'S BACHELORETTE PARTY: PART II

Today, I'm sharing the last part of my awesome bachelorette party in Key West (check out the first part here). On the second day of the trip, we woke up and put on our matching hats to have brunch and drinks. We ate at the cutest little French cafe, where I had such a delicious strawberry and cream cheese crepe - along with a few mimosas. It was the perfect way to start day two!

After brunch, we took a long, but gorgeous walk to Dante's, where they were having a big pool party. If you're ever in Key West, it's the perfect place to have some fun in the sun. We played water beer pong, in which my maid of honor and I owned the table - well, float - and we all enjoyed swimming and hanging out. It was my favorite part about the whole weekend!

We were pretty exhausted after the pool party, so some of us went back to the room to wash up and sleep. Jess and I walked down Duval Street together to do a little shopping for our families.

After we got ready, we headed to 801 Bourbon Bar, the drag show that was perfect for our last night. The show was hilarious and we had so much fun singing and dancing along. And I may have gotten on stage, but I'll refrain from sharing those photos. ;)

We spent the rest of the night at a local wine bar, with the coolest decor. Who doesn't love Pac-Man?

I couldn't have asked for a better weekend with the most amazing girlfriends. I feel so lucky that they all took time out of their schedules (and flew from all over) to help throw me the best bachelorette party ever!

FAVORITO FRIDAY: BALLET SLIPPERS

As fashion forward as I like to think I am, there are some trains I hop on pretty late. One of them being my newest obsession with Essie's classic color Ballet Slippers.

I have very strong nails that grow pretty long, so I always have to make sure I keep them nice or else they'll resemble witch nails. I love Ballet Slippers because it's a light color that instantly makes my nails look pretty, and the color works with every outfit for every occasion. It's aksi color I can never get sick of! It's definitely going to be on my nails on repeat for a long time.

Happy Friday!

SHOPPING WITH GOOGLE EXPRESS

Same-day delivery? Yes, please. A range of stores - from Ulta to Costco? Yes, please. Minimal shipping costs (and the option to become a yearly member with free shipping)? Yes, please.

When Google Express asked us to be a friend, you can just imagine what our answer was. Yes, please.

Google Express

Google Express is a new delivery system that works with local retailers to deliver products to your home. It's perfect for buying heavy items like dog food, having a personal nurse to bring you tons of vitamin C and Gatorade when you're under the weather, or if you forgot you needed junk food for a night of Pretty Little Liars (been there).

Google Express is currently in Chicago, Boston, Manhattan, DC, and select areas of California. They offer goods from a variety of stores here in Chicago - including L'OccitaneUlta, Walgreens, Barnes & Nobles, Kohl's, PetSmart, and more!

There's an annual fee for those that'll take complete advantage of it, or if you only need it from time to time, there's a minimal fee per order. Totally worth it for those days when you're too lazy busy to shop - we guess we can walk to the front door.

Will you try Google Express?

SUMMER BEAUTY AND SKINCARE

Summer is officially here! It's time to not only shift things around in our closet, but also our bathroom counter. My beauty and skincare needs and wants completely change from other seasons. Those heavy liquid foundations are now unbearable, there's no need for those thick creams to battle dry skin, and sigh, you have to shave now.

Read why I have a summer affair with all these wonderful products perfect for the hot season - and most months in Houston.

Shaving is always more frequent in the summer and my skin does not deal well with it. I recently switched over to Dr. Bronner's Shaving Gel (versus a cream), and my skin is thanking me. If you have sensitive skin, opt for the unscented one. Finally, no nicks and no horrible rash afterward. Bring on the short dresses! (I get mine at Whole Foods.)

Dr. Bronner's Shaving Gel ($7.64 - On Sale!)

If you're not near the ocean (or would rather not jump into the gulf), this sea salt spray from Davines is awesome. Spray generoulsy, scrunch, and bam - you've got beach-perfect waves.

Davines This Is A Sea Salt Spray ($27.00)

While you should ALWAYS (did I make that 'always' obvious enough?) wear sunscreen, summer brings more reasons to wear them - the UV index is way higher and you're outside longer, so apply, apply, apply! For my face, I wear Aveeno Baby Sensitive Skin Face Sun Stick - it has SPF 50 and it's a STICK. I love the ease of Aveeno Hydrosport Sunscreen Spray for the rest of my body. You can legitimately spray and walk at the same time - which I do because I always feel like my skin is burning when I'm outside.

Aveeno Hydrosport Sunscreen Spray ($9.79) - Walgreens

Aveeno Baby Sensitive Skin Face Sun Stick ($9.99) - Walgreens

When there's summer, there's frizz - and Suave knows how to help a girl out. Suave Professionals Luxe Style Infusion Smoothing Lightweight Weather Proof Cream is inexpensive and does the trick. Winner, winner.

Suave Professionals Luxe Style Infusion Smoothing Lightweight Weather Proof Cream ($4.99) - Target

There is nothing worse than having sweat stuck between your skin and a heavy layer of liquid foundation. Nothing! Hence why I use Kiehl's tinted BB cream. Lightweight, SPF 50, it moisturizes, and has magical BB cream properties. This is like, the ultimate 10-in-1 product.

NETFLIX INSTANT GEMS

Every time the summer rolls around, I completely neglect my Netflix in an attempt to soak up as much warmth as I can before I hibernate. But with these crazy storms lately, I've found myself hiding from the rain (side note: did I move to Seattle and not realize it?!) almost every day. The beach has been calling my name and I've been dying to have a full weekend in the sun, but until then, I've been occupying my time with these movies, shows, and documentaries streaming on Netflix. Take a look!

FAVORITO FRIDAY: THE NEW 10

As the 100th year celebration of the 19th amendment (which gave women a voice in politics) approaches in 2020, us ladies get to rejoice in a big way. Finally, we will see a woman grace U.S. currency - specifically, the $10 bill.

While the specific woman has yet to be chosen, inspirational leaders such as Harriet Tubman, Rosa Parks, and Eleanor Roosevelt are being talked about. Surely, there is a long list of ladies to choose from who have impacted America. This is definitely one debate we can all get behind!

In case ya'll forgot...

#BADTOTHEBERG - JILL'S BACHELORETTE PARTY: PART I

I have to say, this is definitely one of my most exciting posts to share!

As I mentioned in this post from last week, last month I celebrated my bachelorette party with seven of my girlfriends in Key West, Florida. It was one of the best weekends of my life, and we did so much that weekend, I had to split it into two posts.

Since all of my friends are spread out everywhere, on Thursday night everyone met at my parent's house, where my parents made a big dinner for us (and delicious mango pina coladas!). Jess's parents joined us for dinner and drinks too. The best part of the night was one of my oldest friends that I grew up with in New York surprised me by flying in for my party - I was completely shocked and so touched! I had to hold back the tears when I saw her standing in my doorway. That night we all slept over my parent's house and talked about life, boys, and told ghost stories like 16-year-olds. You're never too old for a good sleepover! And since she's one of the girls, Olive just had to join.

The next morning, we headed off to Key West. Thanks to my amazing parents, they decorated the cars and stocked us with snacks, and fun bachelorette party things.

Once we got to Key West, we immediately headed for the pool and spent the rest of the day swimming, drinking, eating, and exploring the streets of Key West. We stayed at the gorgeous La Concha Hotel & Spa, which I highly recommend. My maid of honor did such an amazing job on every little detail.

The surprises didn't end there, as the rooms were completely decorated! How adorable are those big hats my maid of honor got with every girl's initials on them?

That night, we went out on Duval Street to bar hop. Thanks to my bridal gear, I ended up on many stages that night, singing, playing the tambourine, and receiving lots of congratulations. And the free shots weren't so bad either.

As for the beer bong - I have to admit... it's my hidden talent that I can beer bong faster than anyone. It kind of made me feel like I was back in college.

Until #badtotheberg: Part II!
