FAVORITO FRIDAY: SOLE SOCIETY 'ALAYNA' PUMPS

I have a wedding to go to next month and I have the dress and the accessories, but I needed a new pair of shoes! The ones I currently have will be too uncomfortable for a night of dancing, so I looked high and low for a wedge or a thick heel with silver details that would match a navy dress. Who knew how hard it would be?!

After weeks of searching, I found this adorable pair of t-strap heels from Sole Society. The 'Alayna' pump is a perfect match for my dress and jewelry and has a hidden platform to make it easy to dance the night away! And under 60 bucks, I call this one a steal!

Sole Society 'Alayna' ($59.95)

Want to try these shoes on in person? Nordstrom sells them as well!

SALVATORE FERRAGAMO MICHIGAN AVENUE - FIRST FLOOR

Welcome to the remodeled two-story Salvatore Ferragamo on Michigan Avenue! The first floor has everything a girl can dream of - the newest Fall trends, leather handbags, quintessential flats and heels, and other must-have accessories.

The amazing staff gave me a tour of the beautiful new store and taught me so much about the brand and the man behind it all. Keep on reading for how they're celebrating the anniversary of their most famous shoe and a fun fact that makes me love Salvatore Ferragamo even more!

Step right in!

This handbag has a working zipper to expand! Great for travel, moms, and bloggers with their cameras!

The famous Ferragamo symbol is the Gancino, shaped like a backwards horseshoe, is present throughout the brand and prevalent in their fine jewelry.

The profile of the ring shows the Gancino.

Watch out for exposed zippers, fur details, and quilted sleeves this Fall!

Welcome to shoe heaven! Everything from flats to pumps, wedges to boots, you'll want to take home every single pair.

To celebrate the 35th anniversary of the famous Vara pump (the first shoe Ferragamo created), you now have the chance to customize your own pair of the Vara or Varina. You choose the patent or fabric color, the color of the bow and/or heel (they have to match), the finish of the hardware, and even add a monogram if you wish. That's how you get the perfect shoe for just you.

Fun fact... Salvatore Ferragamo invented the wedge! I have him to thank for the majority of my shoe closet.

Great idea to display your favorite silk scarves!

Where every girl wants to live.

The long wait is finally over, so head over to 645 N. Michigan Ave. to see it yourself or check back with us later this week to see what's on the second floor!
