PERUVIAN CONNECTION CHICAGO

Peruvian Connection started in 1976 by mother-daughter duo Biddie and Annie Hurlbut. Originally there for anthropology research of women in the Andean marketplaces, Annie fell in love with the hand-created wovens throughout Cuzco. Inspired by an alpaca sweater she bought her mother as a birthday gift, they created Peruvian Connection in their home in Kansas, and in addition to their successful catalog, they feature storefronts globally.

Peruvian Connection (925 W. Armitage Ave.), sits on the corner right off the Brown Line in Lincoln Park. Jess's appreciation for merchandising is not a let down in this beautifully decorated shop! Annie Hurlburt personally chooses the pieces and details in all her stores, and not one thing was overlooked - from clothing hooks, keepsakes, mirrors, and Peruvian accents - the store and its products are unique in itself.
