BRUNCH AT PUBLIC HOUSE

Public House (400 N. State St.) invited us to celebrate the best meal of the day... Brunch!

In late June, Corporate Chef David Blonsky created this new, yummy menu that includes a Homemade Twinkie, Chicken and Waffles, and Queso Fundido Egg Burrito. Go ahead, make that reservation.

View from our table.

If you haven't been there yet, Public House is a gastropub with 103 different types of beer in house, 23 beers on tap, a house brew that is designed and brewed by Goose Island, and table tap booths with beer and liquor. Looks like a trip back for lunch or dinner is needed!

We started off with a Blood Orange Mimosa (blood orange puree, sparkling wine) and tea. Jess had the Doughnut Fried French Toast (vanilla bourbon cream, seasonal market jam) and Jill had the Egg Sandwich (eggs any way, big fork bacon-sausage, American cheese, English muffin). Both were delicious, filling, and we were both picking off each other's plates.
